METROL has announced a cable colour update for selected touch switches equipped with Ø2.8 mm and Ø4.0 mm cables.

The cable outer sheath will be standardised to black, replacing the previous black and grey variants. This update supports material standardisation, more efficient manufacturing and stable supply.

What changes for customers?

The update concerns the external cable colour only. Product performance, functionality, reliability, mounting dimensions and electrical specifications remain unchanged.

Customers can continue using the affected switches in the same way as before.

When will the change take effect?

Shipments with the updated cable specification are scheduled to begin in January 2027. Depending on stock availability, both previous and updated versions may be supplied during the transition.
